Tansen, a flagship Indian restaurant of Ohri’s group shutdown during the lockdown period. As it resonated loudly in all Hyderabadi’s hearts, with inquiries flowing in, we decided to relaunch with a rebrand and create a realm where history, flavour, and melody converge to create an unparalleled dining experience. As one indulges in the craftsmanship of chefs who masterfully recreate delicacies, it ignites the senses with each bite. That’s why we carefully design each touchpoint to be a window into the cultural richness of the Mughal era in its contemporary form.
Let the calligraphy and poetry transport you to an era of opulence as you dine amidst regal decor and immersive ambiance inspired by the Mughal gardens. Tansen isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a journey through time, a celebration of flavors, and a harmonious tribute to the legendary musician.

Where the Page Reads Like a Letter
The page unfolds like an ancient letter, revealed one section at a time. Framing, borders, and gentle pacing borrow from traditional scrolls and handwritten invitations, giving the interface a ceremonial, timeless feel.
We shaped this part of the page as a gradual build. It begins with quiet, airy spacing that lets the story breathe, then deepens into richer contrast and image-led moments as the experience comes alive. The pacing keeps the journey intentional, like turning pages
The menu is designed to feel like a curated page. Category choices (Dining, À la carte, Bar) set direction, while the dish grid encourages unhurried browsing. Musical notes in the margins echo Tansen’s Mughal-era musical legacy.

The footer is treated like the seal at the end of a letter. The big and bold “Tansen” typography takes over and animates gently, leaving a final impression of craft.
